I can live with a midweek loss but the lack of fight shown by this team is deeply concerning. You can't win the CWS without overcoming quite a bit of adversity and right now I don't see that fire.

I agree with this. The same kind of energy shows up the next few weeks and it’ll get ugly quick. There will most definitely be some soul searching the next couple of days.

So Tennessee losing to Kentucky and not having as.many relevant pitchers as the 4 we do makes u feel better about the piss poor way we are playing currently?

Never said that I agree we’re playing like shite and better turn it around or it’ll get ugly quick. All I’ve said is what happened last night has no bearing on the weekend and we have a good shot. If we get the job done no one should give a shite about a midweek loss and its water under the bridge.

Last night wasn't just a 5-4 midweek loss type game. Getting run ruled by northwestern state should never happen to a program like LSU. shite was flat out embarassing and the teams body language is just going through the motions

Here is my thing about these midweek college baseball games (as a casual). Like bruh if you aren't gonna take the games seriously why even play them and take an unnecessary loss? Literally nothing is gained, and it just exasperates your deficiencies. It's not like stuff got worked out vs an "inferior" team. Maybe the games don't matter I hear what people are saying but if so, why even bother?

Well when you can’t argue facts, deflect. If you think what LSU does is “indicative” of what type of team we are but don’t apply that standard to other teams you are just biased. It’s blind homerism in reverse.

I should have said pitching talent rather than “depth” clearly guys like Shores and Schmidt have talent even if they aren’t pitching well right now. Guys get better (Hurd 23) guys step up, That happens a lot if you talent.
