Who else with a Samsung tv isn’t able to play any content on the ESPN app? For 2 weeks now it hasn’t worked and ESPN says it’s an Adobe login issue.
Any fixes besides log out log back in, reset power, redownload app

Vizio seems to be the only TV where the built-in third party apps run just as smoothly as if they were running on a roku or appletv.
Samsung has been notorious for their built-in app functionality being dreadful.

Buy a roku or fire stick
Problem solved, never use built in apps on any tv, they are all buggy

for a long time, the ESPN app wasn't even available on most smart TVs and you had to have a rook or similar device.
was something to do with the format ESPN used that TVs couldn't do.

Smartcast is literally one of the worst out there

My 2018 P series Vizio set is one of the most buggy tvs I've ever owned, had to switch over to a firetv early on

Smartcast vs built-in apps are two completely different things.

Check your TV provider and ESPN account settings on the TV.
Be sure that you don't have the same ESPN account logged in on multiple TVs. I had to create a new account (I never had one) to be able to watch on one TV while another TV was connected on my son's account.
Just an ESPN app account is needed if your TV package includes ESPN/SECN.

I have 3 Samsung TVs with the built in ESPN App. Have been using them pretty much flawlessly for a couple of year now.

I have multiple Samsung TVs around the house with the ESPN app. Sometimes I need to log out and log back in through my provider (on the tv app), this prompts the ESPN/activate screen to show up. Follow that prompt and I'm back in business.
Hope that helps.

Just cast from your phone app to your tv.

Vizio's built-in app system is called smartcast:

Samsung is Tizen, LG is WebOS, Sony uses GoogleTV
On my vizio set smartcast constantly crashed, just a very unreliable system. It will start updating the system and brick itself and wont work until its done and gets reset. Adding a fire stick was by far the best investment there.
I do have an older Samsung set i still use built in apps on my bedroom, but it does still mess u pa good deal, just been lazy not adding a fire stick there. I have a 2022 Samsung in the basement and so far so good on the built in apps, but i would expect that with a new tv for a while.

Samsung only supports built in apps on their TVs for 3 years. Get a chromecast which is updated constantly

Go to Walmart and get a Roku TV, they’re cheap as frick.

Log out. Go to the setting and remove your tv provider. Use your phone to log back in and put in the code listed on your tv. I have to do this about once a month with my Samsung TV.

I have 3 Samsung TVs. All are working with the espn app fine. As of this past weekend. I had to log out and back in espn +, but after that it was good.

I brought the Roku TV in from outside. Doesn’t fix the $1000 tv problem

Go get a $25-$40 Roku. I've had pretty much all of the models and I like the Streaming Stick 4K the best. LINK

LG still doesn't have ESPN app. Didn't know that when I bought it. I was told by the LG support line that LG does not have an agreement with ESPN.
Had to buy a fire stick.
