Any response would be helpful here. I'm bringing a group to their first Tiger Stadium game and found some tickets. Of these sections, which would should we avoid or would be preferrable?

East 300s -- I've heard this area gets hot with the sun. I've also heard these get a lot of visitor team fans.
North East Endzone (230-244 and below)

The top of the picture (300s) is the East and you will get blasted by the sun until 6pm.

230-234 is above and including student section seating. Up to you how you want to handle that.

Past 234-244 has more season ticket holders with chairbacks.

Jesus man, what game?

Can provide assistance but from what you have listed, I'd choose East 300. We are getting out of the summer death day time games so some more info from you would be great!

Bama - Ticket prices are high! I'm hoping it's an evening slot.

Depends on which game really.
I would think you would be fine in the 300s even if it’s a 2:30 kick for Bama or OU.
Definitely wouldn’t be an issue for Vandy

North Endzone is great & probably a little cheaper than 300s for Bama game

300s will probably give you the best view of the game overall but at a significantly higher cost. 230s-240s will be great when you the ball is close to the gold endzone. It's hard to follow when the ball is near the purple endzone. The big sceewn helps even though there's about a half second delay.

Also worth noting is the bathrooms/concessions in the NEZ are absolutely arse. Never tried the 300s but we were in the west sideline last weekend and it was much better than the student section concessions area.

I sat in 300 for the last Bama game at LSU and those were great seats. It will be a night game more than likely, unless LSU totally shits the bed.

As long as it's not a hot day game, the East 300's tickets will be a lot better IMO. I've sat in most sections over the years. 212/211 isn't bad either, but not as good as the 300s. I would avoid the very north end (low 230s/216 etc) for a first impression.

230-244 is no better than the 300s. The NEZ gets no shade from the West side. My worst sunburn games have been while sitting in NEZ

Alabama game will be in November where heat won't matter. (If anything, it might help if it's a day game and the sun holds off the freezing process.)

As for visitor fans, they'll take up the first 10-15 rows or so but anything higher will be LSU fans. The remainder of the Gumpers will be in the 401-404 corner and in the top pieces of 638-643.

Just paid 2k for 3 tickets in the 212s sections after fees. I can't remember where the wife said exactly. I pray it's a night game. My stepson is a Big Bama fan and I want him to see Tiger Stadium booming. I've bragged about how crazy and rowdy it gets so hes expecting a mad house. I also hope we go into that game with 1 loss as well

I love the end zone view. Purposely bought season tickets in the end zone for the view, but benefit from significantly reduced cost. Can really see the holes open up/close on the running backs and receivers breaking open. The beauty of a well timed/thrown pass can be truly appreciated with an end zone view. These things are difficult to see from the sideline.

End zone cost is likely a fraction of the sideline. If on the sideline you want to be in row 20 or higher I would think.

Only thing I have bad to say about lower bowl 300's is Sep day games. Brutal. Fall day games once weather changes outright glorious.

Two of my season tix are in 301 and they are some of my favorite seats for viewing except for early season during the day. It is mostly season ticket holders and seems as if there is usually a smattering of visiting fans, but not "visiting sections" so it doesn't get obnoxious.

I'm over there because I love the noise of the lower part of the lower bowl, and like getting closer to mid-field.

I've been all over the stadium and had seats in a bunch of different places and just so happens that I was in 301 for 2010 and 2022 wins over Alabama, 1997 win over Fla and 2003 win over Uga, so admittedly there is some nostalgia involved.

WBL

Anything below row 15 on either sideline.

E 300s by far the best for views of the field. Night games and afternoon games after mid October the sun is less likelyto be an issue.(though there may be exceptions). I'd go with E 300s over the others.
Edit: Seats below about row 10-15 have views of the visiting team's backsides, not the play on the field.

Would rather be in the sun in November in case temps drop a little.
