Derek Stingley & Elias Ricks at CB next year has to be the best CB duo in the nation and If Kris Richard gets the DC job, having coached Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Cam Chancellor, those 2 should be dominate

I don’t think Ricks will start, at first, but he’s a playmaker. Seems like Vincent opposite of Stingley is more likely.

Vincent should keep his same role at nickel and safety. Opposite stingley, Flott, Ricks, and Ward will battle for playing time. I'd like to see what Radar Jones and Mcglothern look like. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of those guys move to safety for depth in 2021.

No. Probably Flott or Ricks opposite of Stingley.

Flott will be opposite Stingley. I expect to see Hampton, Harris and Vincent as the starting safeties and nickel. I think Stevens comes down as a rover or OLB.

Think Vincent stays at nickel, Flott or Ricks opposite Stingley is more likely.

I prefer Vincent at safety, personally, but I think you have to go Hampton and Stevens there with a lot of Harris. I like Flott in the nickel.

It will depend on the system we run, but Stevens at LB would also be great. Especially since we have to replace all of those spots.

I expect Vincent to start at cb. McG in the mix at nickel. Ricks in the mix at corner.

It’s possible you see Flott in the nickel and Jones, Ward, or Ricks opposite Sting.
You could see KV at free. We have a lot of safeties so there are options.

Not to be a downer, but the "Legion of Boom" was based on zone corners with dominant safeties, not exactly LSU's plan with the man up defense for umpteen years on the outside. Not saying Richard won't adjust to the talent he has, but it'll look a little different than the Seattle model with a 6'4", 230lb safety destroying receivers. Besides, they've changed the rules for player safety to the point that a big hitter like Kam can't have the same impact in today's game.

If you’re expecting Ricks to just jump in like Stingley did then you’re going to be disappointed. He’ll play next year but he won’t start unless guys like Flott and Raydar struggle

I agree KV could play some FS,
I just don't see him playing CB. Harris and Hampton are the most likely candidates at the safety positions with maybe Toles getting PT if he catches on quickly and I could see KV play some FS at times.

If ricks starts opposite of Stingley over any of the three tr fr corners from the '19 class then he is truly special. Don't see it happening.

You forgot to finish that and include the Saints worst CB since Jason David. Also coached and made Brandon Browner. Why you left that one out

Your expectations for Ricks is curiously low for No.1 CB in the country, the No.1 HS player in the state of California, and the 5th best HS player in the country.

You could put anyone opposite Stingley and it would be top 5 CB duo.

Seattle has never been a man to man defense.

As usually, people crowning freshman before they step on the field.

It’ll be Flott and Stingley.

and the legion of boom teamed up with some great dlinemen. Without some good pass rush, no secondary is going to do well in a zone. not the legion of doom or dbu. I'd rather get someone who doesn't use zone. too easy for good qbs to shred it.
