re: The 2 teams that played for the national championship last year
Posted by des4271 on 5/17/24 at 2:33 am
In losing Crews, Beloso, Dugas, Morgan, Thompson and Jobert, the team lost 85 HR's, experienced and clutch hitters, not to mention all the leadership. That is very hard to replace. Throw in Skenes, Floyd and Cooper on the pitching side and you damn near depleted the team. ...
re: Why are our bats the worst in game 3 every weekend
Posted by des4271 on 5/14/24 at 12:12 pm
Some of it boils down to a lot of young guys trying to adjust to SEC caliber pitching. Larson, Milam, Brown, Frey, etc., combined with Kling, Bingham and Neal not really being consistent, reliable options on offense and you get the struggles they are facing now. I believe Larson will be really goo...
re: It’s interference. With visual evidence and the rule
Posted by des4271 on 5/11/24 at 10:27 am
From his angle he had a clear throw, had he been down the line trying to make the throw, that dude would have been called for interference. I’ve seen them called out for less. ...

Or possibly Loer then bring in herring. ...
re: How many third strikes has Kling looked at this year?
Posted by des4271 on 4/28/24 at 11:32 am
A lot, think he’s praying for a walk because he has such a lack of confidence in putting the ball in play. He’s just not a good hitter, there’s 2 seasons to prove it....
re: Larson turned the season around
Posted by des4271 on 4/26/24 at 10:56 pm
One thing I will say about him is, he’s a damn good hitter and player. I like the way he battles at the plate....
re: Ashton Larson is going to be a star
Posted by des4271 on 4/21/24 at 9:43 am
He has high level batting and is smart in his approach. ...
re: Here’s my lineup bash me if you want
Posted by des4271 on 3/30/24 at 9:26 am
1B. Jones
2B Pearson
3B. White
SS. Maybe try Guidry, since he hasn’t been stellar pitching. Not sure what kind of bat production he would have.
LF. Bingham
CF. Larson, he battles in his at bats and at least makes the pitcher work.
RF. Give Brown a shot again, may be a rotating door here....
re: Kent Babb answers some questions about previous story about LSU/Brian Kelly

Totally agree. Typical media thought process these days though. ...
re: Men’s Basketball Program
Posted by des4271 on 3/20/24 at 9:53 pm
Wade’s teams didn’t hedge well either except for his last year, the difference is, Wade most of the time had superior talent and they got away with shitty defense. This year, the 2 bigs are soft and never redirect guys off their spots or paths to the goal. Ward isn’t a good defender either. I ag...
re: Matt McMahon has done one of the best coaching jobs in SEC basketball this season
Posted by des4271 on 2/29/24 at 10:02 am
I agree having good players is a big part of being successful, but I totally disagree with you on in game decision making, it is the difference when you are evenly matched and in a tight game at the very end. Why do you think Wade would lose to equally talented teams that played good on ball defens...
re: McMahon has the basketball program poised to make a quantum leap next season
Posted by des4271 on 2/29/24 at 9:48 am
Givens is 4 star PG ( 6'2" ) and Miller is a 4 star PF ( 6'10" 225 ). Hopefully they live up to their ranking....

re: Coach Matt McMahon has arrived.

Good PG, shooter and big man. Get Gordon and they will come. ...

All I’m going to say is, his team has won these last 2 games against better talent. That means he’s a pretty good coach. This team is night and day from last year, this team won’t quit and it’s obvious in the last 2. Being down 20 and 15 in the second half and coming back and winning both. Happy...
re: Anyone know Mason Smith’s draft position projection?
Posted by des4271 on 1/21/24 at 2:01 pm
Mike Detillier gave him a fifth to seventh round grade in an interview with Scott Long on DandyDon. Not sure what McShay and Kiper would have him at....
re: Les Miles never had the brains or balls to clean house like Kelly just did
Posted by des4271 on 1/5/24 at 2:20 pm
You should have said it in true Miles fashion, “he wouldn’t have had the chest to clean house, lol. “. Miles was a buffoon....

re: Judge Nuss like 2018 Burrow and 2022 Daniels or expect more?
Posted by des4271 on 12/14/23 at 6:41 am
I would think he may have some growing pains early but should settle in and have a good year. One problem may be having a couple very reliable WR’s that can consistently get open/separation and make contested catches. ...
