I don’t think he was ever projected that high. Nonetheless he’s in a good spot.

He didn’t play much his first two years and then had an average year then one really good year in college. He will get his chance to shine in NE

PFF guys were shocked he went that low. Said New England actually had him #34 OVERALL on their board. Didn’t hear anything and didn’t want to start any rumors, but they wondered if there was something off field that might have contributed to him falling.
Could be a character thing, could be an injury thing discovered in the process, could just be absolutely nothing—shite happens. But seems most thought he was a 3rd rounder, 4th rounder at the very latest.

I wonder if Big Will dropped a suggestion to the staff. Head to head experience and observations at practice has to be valued.
