Griner is who she is because of Kim Mulkey. She’ll tell you that herself. I’ll bet money that Mulkey also sent letters to that girl which no one knows about. That’s who Mulkey is. She doesn’t give a shite about a spotlight, just like she doesn’t give a shite about this article. Every girl on that team knows exactly who Mulkey is because Mulkey isn’t fake like many of this world today. The next human being has to respect that. That’s who she is and that’s why she wins. She gets the best out of them because she’s brutally honest with them and tells them exactly what they need even if it seems like it isn’t love at the moment, it’s best for your future so it is love for your future. Shes been right so many times that they just believe in her now. Mulkey doesn’t give a shite about her past successes because it doesn’t nothing for her or her girls in the present and future. That’s truly caring for your team and your girls on your roster. So this dumb bitch is actually giving these kids the worst advice possible! My own father didn’t come visit me at certain times in my life. He didn’t write me letters or come to see me

This is the type of article which says WAAAY more about the author than it does about the people depicted in it. One reads a hit piece like this and asks: "what could have possibly fostered that ?"

Some might want to do a little work, especially Kcarron, Kim has done more for her kids than anyone. Check the roster. She has a player that’s been arrested, more than once. A kids that Kim’s known since she was a child, never giving up on her.
Kim has done more for her players than anyone I know.

Griner has done nothing but trash Baylor and Mulkey once she left. Kim did warn her not to come out while at BU, but like it was a secret. And if that bothered Griner so much why did she even go to a Baptist run University? Easy answer she knew Kim would get her ready for the WNBA better than any other coach.

The good news is that the current players don't listen to or read that bullshite...or if they do, they don't take it seriously. They have been trying to cancel her for years with anything they can grab. Hasn't once effected her ability to produce good teams and continue to land elite recruits. They will continue to be miserable and look to be outraged until she retires.

Kim was likely unable to help her former player by saying anything. Anything Kim could have said could have been construed as building Britney's celebrity making any chance of release or solution or compromise more complicated. At any rate, Kim is a basketball coach, not a trade negotiator. I'm sure Kim has reached out to Britney since her release.
