What are the outcomes that make us a top 8 National Seed?

In reality 6-6 probably has us as a top 8 entering the SEC tournament. 7-5 would completely lock it up.

I think 7-5 gets us a top 8.

6-6 and you’re a top 8 seed.

I think we need to win 2/3 in two of them and not get swept in the others.
6-6. If we don’t get swept i think we have a good shot.

If be very comfortable getting a top 8 seed at 19-11 in conference

that’s 7 wins

Which we can do in a variety of ways

Don’t get swept, Sweep S. Car and then you only have to win 1 series between Tenn/Ark/A&M

Yep we need 7 wins, and I’m thinking we win 2 against Tennessee, 1 at Agricultural & Mechanical, 2 against Arkansas, and 2 at South Carolina.

I’d prefer we arrive to South Carolina only needing 1 though because that club will be fired up I do suspect.

To 100% lock in a national seed 20 wins.

19 wins likely gets you there
18 wins and win 3 games in Hoover snd you get it too

But there are so many factors that go into it. Like Georgia Tech dropping a series to Miami or Tennessee dropping a series to Kentucky.

But if you want to control your own destiny - get to 20 wins.

Most likely outcome to get there is

So finish 8-4

Win the Tennessee series at home and say you don't sweep then you're

14-7

Win one series on the road vs Arkansas and A&M and don't get swept

3-3 between the two and you're at

17-10

Then sweep South Carolina at home and finish 20-10

But if you just win the USCe series and finish 19-11 you're going to have a top 10 RPI and pretty much be locked in

Sweep all of them and leave no doubt. Jay is about to go in dry on those mofos and they don’t even know it.

Either way we are in a much better spot than last year. We were 5-13 at this point last year. Though I would mind us getting hot like we did at the end of sec play last season.

I agree with your take except the Arkansas series is home at the box and we travel to USCe.

Warren Nolan has us finishing 46-10 (21-9). Guess they have us winning each series and sweeping USC. I'd say thay would get it done

Let's say we sweep SC, and lose to Ark, A&M, and Tenn 1-2. We aren't a top 8 seed in that scenario. IMO, depending on how it plays out, even 7-5 is not a Lock...that would put us 19-11...it would be very close though and depend on some other teams. Getting to 20 wins is an absolute lock and would likely have us 2nd in the conference.

In that scenario 1 win in Hoover would lock it up imo.

18-12 gets you a national seed. No way they would be expected to win the sec tournament to get a national seed.

Committee president has LSU ties. Anything close and LSU will be taken care of.

I think the SEC gets 5 of the top 8 national seeds, with the potential of 6.

Dont think we need to just be top 4.

Clemson and FSU likely each have one as well and if the committee can find any way possible, a West Coast team like Oregon State and/or UCLA would get one.

The committee would love a Big 10 team on the West Coast to make Omaha, so if at all possible, UCLA will get a national seed.
