Then when LSU played Alabama in the Super Regionals how many of our batters took a third strike with the damn bat on their shoulder? Way too dang many that's for sure!
It’s softball. It loses money every year. You’re going to be ok. No one really watches or cares about it.

Another fact the screaming fire Beth fans don’t want to hear.
In non revenue sports you should be as good as your states talent. And La HS softball is not good. Hard to complain about a coach who is consistently top 14-18 team in a state that doesn’t produce great players.

LSU just committed a ton toward football to replace the expensive prior coach with a new, even more expensive coach...plus his team. They just committed a significant sum to make a change in basketball. Baseball gets more money at LSU than at most places...and the HC is asking for more.
The reality is there isn't a strong enough demand from the fans/donors to spend money to replace the softball coach right now. The sport just doesn't have a big market relative to the other LSU sports. Had LSU not made coaching changes in football and basketball this year maybe things would be different. But for right now, changing the softball is an expense LSU can put off until later.

Who? 1 pitcher that was the number 3 and a hitter that was sub 300 with 12 home runs and 40 strikeouts. Meanwhile, FSU just lost Beachum who was a far better hitter than Edwards. The others that transferred needed to so they can play. They weren’t in LSU’s plans next yr

How much does Torina make per year? Maybe just let her contract run out and look for someone who’s doing really well at a lower division school and give them a shot. Torina hasn’t won anything and she keeps sinking lower and lower in the conference, so there is little left to lose in that regard by letting her contract run out. She’s had good recruiting classes but we don’t do any better because of them. Seems like coaching is the issue.
Update: Torina was the 8th highest paid coach in 2025 at 505k. Results don’t and haven’t matched that level of pay in a good while.

yup and means nothing see miles on the back end after the 1-9 shitshow.
we knew he would never win anything again and most say the same about beth after she blew that 4 year window from 2015 to 2018.

If LSU is going to keep Beth, shut down all NIL money and direct it to football or men's basketball.
