That's a lot of experience you're looking for there.

That’s not likely. CJJ has struggled identifying SEC talent. I am surprised that both Kling and Neil were misses. Even Bear is still a work in progress. Looks like Larson is the real deal and Milan will be much better with the bat next year. He has done a good job with finding good pitching in the portal but still several guys are average.

This statement is ridiculous and contradicted by your next sentence. His recruiting efforts have been very highly ranked.

Number 1 class next year. Consistently top recruiting classes since he’s been here. What are you talking about lol.

I'll just take the "wait and see" approach. Nothing else we can really do.
Johnson made the CWS finals his first year at Arizona, presumably with the former coach's recruits. He won the CWS hare, with Skenes, White, Cooper and Mainieri's recruits.
He missed the regionals entirely his second and third years at Arizona before getting back to the CWS. He's on the verge of missing a regional this year. Who knows what next year holds?
LSU should never miss a regional, and it absolutely should never, ever miss the SEC Tournament.
Like I said, I'm taking the "wait and see" route. Anyone who tells you they know the future of the LSU baseball program under Jay Johnson, whether good or bad, is merely guessing.

because there is an abundance of that level of talent in the portal every year :(

Was Jacob Berry an SEC level type of talent? He recruited him to Arizona and then to LSU.
People are quick to mention these others yet never seem to bring him up. He went what 3rd overall or so in the draft? I am not looking it up.

If the recruiting classes are that good, what happened this year?

Tre Morgan IV
If it’s Tre the 4th, whould that make him John Morgan the 7th or the 12th? Do you multiply the exponent?

It was clearly with Garcia's recruits. That team's starting lineup was primarily juniors and seniors.
He did make it to the Lubbock Regional in his second year, where they were gone after two games. His third and fourth years Arizona didn't make a regional, and they were headed in the same direction in 2020 until COVID happened. They then made it back to Omaha in 2021, where they were 0-2 and out the door.

Are you capable of getting anyone’s name correct?

Dumbest thing I'll read on the rant today.

My mistake. Lopez. The point is that Johnson didn't have a stellar record at Arizona like so many on here seem to think.

People (our fans) want what they want and they want it yesterday. Instant gratification, etc. We are spoiled. I don't think our fans realize we've only been in 3 CWS finals since 2009. We are the best program, sure. But it will take building it up again to achieve what we did in the 90's.

the question is, will you even be able to tell if the players are good or not?
Posted on 4/28/24 at 6:31 pm to GA Tiger
Or add a guy or two and develop the young players they have. I hear that's a recipe for success, but call me crazy if you wish.

Top based on what? We suck lol. Frick a recruiting title. We wont even make the postseason this year. But congrats on the #1 class

Yea so dumb. We wont even make the field of 64. Its funny some people are defending that.

Have you seen Larson and Milam? They’re pretty good
