According to ChatGPT:

Elite/ Star SEC players- $500k - $1 mil
Top SEC starters- $150k - $500k
Starters/ role players- $50k - $150k
Depth players/ Fr. - $5k -$50k

Asking the rant is the worst possible place to find this answer. You have 2 groups.

Group 1- thinks every college athlete is a millionaire now. And they use this logic to hate everything college.

Group 2- thinks LSU has zero NIL money for baseball.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

You forgot the third group that immediately says “350”

Just enough for you not to care. All I care about is them being good enough for LSU standards and competing for championships. Not how much money they are making.

There are actually three groups. The two you mentioned, and the group that responds '350' to every question involving any kind of quantity.

ETA: Berlin already pointed this out.

It changed so much so fast. Skenes basically just got a sandwich and a Livvy Dunne, now LSU pays tens of thousands for transfers to suck and ride the pine.

Your first mistake was trusting AI to know the actual figures especially ChatGPT

The people that actually know are not telling.

All we get are the "muh LSU Baseball is falling behind" posters that never have anything to back it up.

Baseball only has about a $2mil NIL budget - max. I doubt we have many guys making over $100K.

Jared Jones last season ’25 made more than Skip did his last year of coaching. Think it was right over $225K or in that ballpark (no pun intended).

A Nicholls player that entered the portal was offered $30,000 to stay but Texas Tech offered $60,000.
