I remember when he came to LSU from Texas, I had high hopes but he never seemed to live up to much. Anyone know what he's up to these days? I know he spent a little time with the Browns and Saints after LSU.

Pretty sure he's still an assistant coach for Calvary Baptist in Shreveport.

He was a really good player for LSU. Oddly, the play I remember him most was he got absolutely mugged/held by Bama in their end zone on a pass play. No call, of course.

I always remember him sacking Jay Cutler for a safety. IIRC lol.

I remember him being a solid lineman transferring from Texas after his brother was killed in a crash.

***If you are a dad and have not read his dad's book Raising Cole, get it.

He doesn’t coach anymore at Calvary. Last coached about 3 years ago. When he did, it was only part time after school. He works in his family construction business as far as I know.

He was a beast off the edge in that 2005 Florida game.

Was at that game. Don’t remember if he got a safety but I know he damn near murdered Cutler on one hit.

I remember when they were going to make a movie out of the book. Did it get completely canceled?

I remember Laron smashing Cutty on a safety blitz, then the camera showed Cutty's mom in the crowd looking like she had just seen a ghost.

I remember they kept showing Cutler's parents in the stands. It was glorious, Cutler was completely destroyed in that game

You don’t seem sure. Close family friend thing doesn’t check out.
