Are the interest rates going up?
Are effect from possible tariffs?
In will be in market about June

Be in the market sooner rather than later if you are worried about Tariffs.

We financed a used vehicle for 5.74% recently.

No sure I want to just rush out and buy based solely on tariffs, duly noted though

anyone know what honda finance rates are right now?

I would say anything below 6% for a used car would be fine.

If you’re not dead set on a make/model, I’m sure you’ll find a manufacturer offering some 0%/4yr finance rebates since lots seem to be full.

Yup. I've always paid cash.

One thing we figured out is that even if inflationary impacts recede, prices will never go down. Dealers got used to higher priced vehicles and we just won't see those lower prices ever again. Don't think that auto prices will go down if you just wait. They probably won't.

Tundra recently with 1.9%. That's better than paying cash. I'll let my money earn me more, and borrow from the bank for less.

Not only are the prices insane, dealers aren’t even trying to earn your business or make a deal with you. How’s how my car search has gone.
Monday: holy shite $60k for a truck is insane but we really need a reliable second vehicle that can handle typical rural life tasks. Guess I’ll bite the bullet and start shopping.
Tuesday: email Ford, Chevy, GMC, Ram, and Nissan dealerships across the US. Probably 25 in total. Hear back from maybe 8 and ask for their best OTD price on XYZ vehicle.
Wednesday: 5 of the 8 respond and actually give me the time of day. All say their best price is the one online + a bunch of BS doc fees and other garbage. Go a couple of rounds of them making minimal concessions here and there, but ultimately nothing material. Ask the final 2 for some follow up information early afternoon.
Thursday: radio silent from all dealers I talked to (other than their automated spam emails). Get disgusted and decide to just keep hauling trash in my little Toyota SUV because I’d rather cut my dick off than go through the car buying process.
I hope there’s a reckoning coming for these brands again. The products are all over engineered shite at terrible prices and the dealership model adds no value. It I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and had to buy a new vehicle ASAP, I have no clue who I would give my money to because none of them seem terribly interested in taking it.
Car makers are becoming as bad as airlines. “Yeah our products and services suck, but you need us so bend over and take it in the arse like a good little consumer.”

I like cars too much to pay cash. Not the best financial decision but I’ve always been a car guy so it’s something I spend my disposable income on.

You can get a new Ranger/Colorado/Canyon/Tacoma/Frontier for 15-20k less than that. Probably a new Dodge as well.
