Yep it’s trading here in the states so the halt must be only applicable on the ASX.

Did it just hit its ATH - referencing Sparc

I’m having a hard time following it’s gains and losses

Looks like it’s at $.45 right now

Maybe the $2800 I put down on it moved the needle for a few minutes...

ETA - seriously, though, a request to shut down trading until after a materials change announcement is pretty interesting. Changing graphene vendors, in and of itself is not that newsworthy. There must be something else happening that thwy do not want inside traders to be able to take advantage of...

Per Gemini, reasons why a company may request a stock to stop trading on the ASX.

quote:

Key Reasons for Requesting a Trading Halt (ASX):

Pending Material Announcement: To prepare for a major, share-price-sensitive announcement, such as a merger, acquisition, or significant contract win.

Preventing False Information: To correct market rumours or misinformation while preparing an official announcement to inform investors accurately.

Managing Volatility: To prevent panic selling or unmanageable volatility following unexpected news or a massive imbalance in buy/sell orders.

Capital Raising: To conduct a capital raise or institutional placement without the share price fluctuating wildly while the company raises funds.

Since they said "Pending Material Announcement", it could be a merger, acquisition, or major contract signing. Again, switching graphene vendors shouldn't move the needle, so I would assume that it is a large contract to use their Ecosparc product.

Although honestly, I hope they are being acquired by a larger fish that plans to feature their HGRAF enhanced coatings...

$5/share would be nice...

I agree. Does anyone want to spearhead that? Someone who has invested in it and is at least somewhat knowledgeable? Is it listed as "SPN.AX" ?

I am interested in investing in it if I can grasp it!

My big money is not on SPARC. It's on HGRAF. We are hoping SPARC takes off because they added HGRAF graphene.

shite, it's 0.60, now.

Nice. Why is Sparc running? I have 2500 shares and should I sell and take profits for a potential rebuy?

That would be one strategy.

The reason it's running is because SPARC is making an announcement on Friday (Australia Time). If it's big news, you'll be leaving money on the table. If it's bad news, you'll be glad you did.

Upside: If it's good news, this could be a real winner, and we'll all wish we had bought more.

Neutral: News is ho-hum or not all that impressive and the stock goes down or holds at current levels.

Downside: News is bad and the stock plummets. I bought it at .25 - .28, so even in the worst case scenario, I might lose .10/shr, or 1500 bucks in my case.

I knew when I bought that this one was a roll of the dice. From where I bought, the upside is much bigger than the downside, right now, so I'm hanging on to this until after the announcement on Friday.

ETA: There is a SPARC thread now.

A new article just landed on the Hydrograf website. This could be huge for data centers. LINK

This is why I’ve looked at water treatment stocks. Water is going to be needed.

If they have their own small nuke reactors, even more closed loop systems will be needed.
