Sure Reciprocal Insurance Exchange for Homeowners?

Hey all, I'm in the process of purchasing a home in South La and going through some homeowners insurance quotes. Does anyone have experience with Sure? It's a reciprocal insurance exchange that's under the umbrella of SageSure, but it just started exactly a year ago and seems to only cover LA, TX, MS, and AL. They're significantly cheaper than any other quotes, but I'm trying to figure out how much risk I'm taking on if I go with them.
Does anyone have experience with Sure? Or with smaller reciprocal exchange companies in general? Should I be concerned about how new they are? I'm just concerned that this is a reciprocal exchange company that seems to have a smaller regional base that is exclusively in hurricane-prone states. I'd be worried about their ability to cover claims if another big storm comes through?
Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

I'm going to save you a ton of time reading through everyone's opinions on insurance in Louisiana....
If you want to save money, buy that policy.
If you want to be paid in a timely manner and fairly whenever claim time comes, don't buy that policy.

I am with SageSure. Started off at $1800 five years ago, paid $3300 last year. Made my first claim for roof damage after Ida. The service is excellent and pays pretty good. I’m waiting to see what the policy will be this year.

Appreciate you weighing in. So would you say SageSure (since it's a subsidiary) is unreliable when it comes to claim time? Other options we're considering are Centauri and Progressive for comparison.

I did the initial claim on my phone since it was the only thing working about two weeks after Ida. Only had about 50 shingles missing and wasn’t going to make a claim until I heard an independent adjuster on the radio saying that if you lost a few shingles, then all are compromised so I made the claim. They responded by email the next day and asked if I wanted them to send someone to tarp the roof. Didn’t need tarping. Set up an appointment for an adjuster within 2 weeks. Very satisfied with all phases of the claim.

Sagesure was an MGA of sorts (think of broker for insurance carriers) who represented Occidental and Federated National. Fed Nat is insolvent, and Occidental is basically not taking on new biz, so Sagesure decided to begin their own company.
Their rates are cheap, as of now, due to the reinsurance aggregate they had last year. Those renew on 6/1, so rates should go up for them next year (as they should).
My personal home is not with them, but we have zero issues placing clients with them.
