Are the 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars one of the biggest "what if" teams of all time?

14-2 regular season.

A young and fun to watch offense and one of the best defenses in the league that year.

All 3 of their losses came to the Titans. 2 in the regular season and one in the playoffs.

1998 Minnesota Vikings.

They were 15-1 and had the NFC Championship Game won before they pissed it away and lost to the Falcons in overtime. I think they could have given the Broncos all they wanted in the Super Bowl that year.

You mean like what if they didn’t have a historically easy schedule?

They had a rather difficult schedule. Not sure what you’re referring to.

This.

Anderson misses the only FG he misses all season in the NFCCG that likely would have put the game away.

Many here, given it's an LSU board, would say the 2018 Saints. An egregiously bad no-call keeps them out of the Super Bowl. No guarantee they beat New England (considering LA had a great offense too and was held to 3 points), but I trust Brees over Goff in that game.

When they beat Marino and the Dolphins 62-7 in the Divisional Round I thought they'd be unstoppable

They were clearly only the 2nd best team in the afc south. Who on the jags was gonna slow down isaac bruce or tory holt? It sure af wasn't gonna be fernando bryant + aaron beasley, even with donovin darius helping.

The two games they played against the titans were the only regular season games against teams with a winning record.

The 1998 Vikings would have been the favorites and beaten the Broncos in the Super Bowl.

They beat the Dolphins, not Marino. Nothing has ever been Marino’s fault to any extent.

1985 Miami Dolphins.

They were upset in the AFC championship game by the Patriots.

The 1985 Super Bowl champs Chicago Bears were beaten down by the Dolphins for their only loss of the season in a MNF game towards the end of the regular season. The Dolphins were a terrible matchup for the Bears’s defense. Marino got rid of the ball quickly and the Bears could not sack him. The famous 85 Bears’s defense was extremely vulnerable for this style of play.

Yes, I will say it. The Dolphins would have beaten the Bears in the Super Bowl. This is Dan Marino’s missing Super Bowl.
