Barry Bonds is the GOAT Baseball Player

Barry Bonds is the greatest Baseball player to ever live. He’s the best hitter of all time, he beats out Ruth, Aaron, Mays, Cobb, Williams etc.
Bonds won 3 MVP’s in the early 1990’s without ever using steroids. 2 with a separate franchise (Pittsburgh) he was a 40-50 SB guy in his youth, and is one of the better defenders in Major League History with 8 gold gloves. He has more HR’s than any player in history.
Bonds strikeout to walk ratio is off the charts. From 1991-2007 Bonds had more walks than strikeouts every year. His plate discipline and eye were always tremendous even before the steroids. “But you couldn’t pitch to him his walks are inflated” so by definition Bonds was so feared as a hitter it was best to walk him every time he came up to the plate?
Bonds was the best player in baseball at the time where everyone else was taking steroids. You can argue he took them like everybody else to remain the best. Bonds is the greatest hitter who has ever lived, and won a whopping 7 MVP’s including 4 straight. Bonds, and Pete Rose deserve the HOF, especially if we can turn a blind eye to guys like David Ortiz because he’s got a beloved personality.

I'm not sure you can put a guy in that openly broke the rules. Then again...MLB may as well put him in, though, if they aren't going to ever punish the Astros for cheating.

First page.
And for the record, I agree that Barry Bonds is the greatest hitter I have seen in my lifetime.

Uh no...go away with that Lance Armstrong argument. How many rings does he have? Nobody wanted to play with him. He had a few co-stars on his team that hated him.
Joe DiMaggio – 9 Rings ...
Lou Gehrig – 8 Rings ...
Babe Ruth – 7 Rings ...
Mickey Mantle – 7 Rings ...
Bonds never elevated his team...in fact he blew it on the Pirates because he had a girls arm and couldn't throw out the slowest motherfricker who ever played major league baseball.
Hitting bombs while juiced is not the definition of greatness.

It’s laughable to mention rings in an argument for how great a baseball player is. It’s the ultimate team game and the sport with the most parity.
To mention a bunch of Yankees players rings who played with some of the most stacked squads in baseball history, and compare it to Bonds having none is ridiculous.
By your definition Bill Russell is the GOAT of Basketball.

Bonds was my favorite as a kid

He didn't break any rules. They did not have a drug testing policy at the time.

Ted Williams says hello.
But I agree with your overall point. Barry should be in the HoF

That's the thing though, Barry was already a HoF'er before he started drugging.
He should be in.

It would have been nice to see his career stats with his normal frame. I mean I know he did very well before he became the Hulk, but he would not have hit the number of HRs he had throughout his career if it weren’t for tripling in size.

First piece of evidence is stating what he did before cheating. That alone tells you he isn’t the goat.

It’s true.

People without facts refrain to the old debate method of comparing their opposition to Hitler....its a cheap out....
Now, laughing emoticons are the new Hitler argument. Nothing to say, no coherent, intelligent response. So it goes.
His teammates hated him from Arizona State to S.F.
He didn't elevate, inspire like a Kirk Gibson who bereated the team in training camp for the laughable Dodgers shitty attitude and said, "I'm gonna be the the best teammate you ever had."
And they won the World Series.
Barry Bonds never won because it was all about him. So laugh all you want but I have history on my side...and the terrible stories of him being a Cancer in the locker room....that's no GOAT.

I’d pay money to watch his Cooperstown speech.

Mickey Mantle is the greatest player of all time.

He was good, but he was no Bonds. He wasn’t even better than Aaron.

Hank Aaron and Willie Mays would say otherwise.
A lot of ice cold takes ITT.

Not even in the same ballpark with Mays, Griffey Jr. or Mantle.
Bonds was a very selfish player, his legacy besides the steroids should be allowing Sid Bream to score.

Hank Aaron? Hank Aaron????
I’ll give you Mays as being possibly as good as Mantle. But Hank Aaron was not.
