Tha had flashes of brilliance, but for whatever reason were never able to put it together with results on the field. Whether it be injuries, off field issues, or just mentally couldn't put it together. Not necessarily busts, but players that legitimately had the talent but were never able to fully realize it.

Bo Jackson
Darryl Strawberry
Josh Hamilton
Sergio Garcia
Len Bias

Oliver Miller. Even Barkley was amazed by him but only Nolan could keep him in decent shape.

Ark QB/NFL WR Matt Jones.

6’6”, 4.38 forty at the combine, athleticism coded in his DNA (played basketball at Arkansas too). Just didn’t have it between the ears to make the most of his potential in the pros.

Marcus Lattimore.

Without injuries, he has a Heisman and an NFL rushing title.

Matt Jones was a hell of an athlete. Randy Livingston and Greg Oden are good mentions too. Oden was the first that popped into my mind but you can’t forget about Derrick Rose. I think without injuries he puts together one hell of a career.

Chris Henry (WR, Bengals) would have had a decent NFL career if he didn’t pass away falling out of the back of a moving truck

I’m well aware of Chris Henry. You’re from BC right? Chris was one of the best I ever played against in basketball and football.
