Does ESPN+ not let you log in while in the air?

On a flight to Maui and keep getting this message. Prior to the first time ESPN askes for access to my location. Once i did that i i went to login and it gives me this message. What gives? Is this a corporate thing between ESPN and Southwest?

May have something to do with you being over international waters.

ESPN+ is geo-locked to America, else dudes in Britain would be able to watch every EFL Championship match at a fraction of the cost of their cable provider.

Still wouldn’t work. Regardless you can’t stream anything on a plane wifi, let alone one over a body of water in the middle of nowhere ??

It probably needs cell signal to geolocate even if you are on plane WiFi. But you absolutely can stream YTTV on some plane WiFi. Just depends on how lucky you get.

I've never been on a long haul flight that didn't have seatback entertainment with satellite TV that included ABC and ESPN. But I fly Delta

Thursday night when I was using it it made me log in every time I switched games. It had me going back and forth between my cable login and my Disney bundle login. Dumbest fricking app ever.
