At the Masters he shoe horned Rory’s parents in no less than a half dozen times talking about how hard they worked when Rory was a kid. It was a nice story, and certainly fine to mention it, but he made the whole thing about that while conveniently ignoring that he was flying all over the world as a prodigy by his early teens. Parents love their kids, got.

Yesteday, the whole JT story line was he has a baby. Cool, he had a kid, the entire broadcast turned into him being a new father. Again, worth mentioning.

Rory completes the grand slam and JT wins after a 1000 plus days and seems to have his game back. Both are infinitely more interesting than some manufactured sappy human interest bullshite stories. I had to turn the RBC off before the interview because I knew that was all it would be about and I was already tired of hearing it.

Nantz has turned into some discount Tom Rinaldi. Just call the golf man

Yeah, he's been off his game, especially yesterday. That was odd, pretty much begging JT to cry if he won for some reason.

Yes, he's become insufferable. Hasn't been worth a shite since staring longingly into Tiger's eyes while verbally fellating him at the Genesis four or five years ago.

On a side note, I thought it was funny that JT's wife was by his side for the post round interview with Amanda Balionis. Wanted to make sure that homewrecker didn't try to seduce her husband

Its absurd.

I'm surprised he could make the Heritage broadcast. I figured his tonsils would be sore from fellating Rory at Augusta.

I think a lot of posters here have a sentimental connection to his iconic voice, but he’s been pretty terrible for the last few years.

What 8 seasons of working with Tony Romo does to a man.

The Masters was probably the worst call I've ever heard from Nantz. Who is traditionally really good.

Told like a 10 minute story about Rory on 18 that seemed like he had been preparing for 5 years only for Rory to miss the short putt. Unfortunate for his call, but it is what it is. Then he tells the same story again just shortened on the playoff hole. So lame.

I do for sure, but I hadn't noticed anything until the Masters final round and jacket presentation. I thought he was failing to be impartial as a commentator.

It's tough for him. When the Masters runs out of ribs to remove so they can continue to comfortably suck their own cocks, they turn to ole Jim to finish the job. He's tired. His throat hurts.

I normally don’t care about the commentators, I think Romo gets a little carried away sometimes, but whatever doesn’t bother me, but nance the last couple of weeks and the general commercial load and broadcast this week, it was unwatchable.

Sucks too, because I think the other CBS guys do a great job.

There are very few that still have it. I still like Tirico and Joe Buck, but that's about it and I understand why some don't like them.

Mike Emrick on NBC for NHL will forever by the goat in my mind of play-by-play broadcasters. Al Michaels is also up there for me even though he is phoning it in with Amazon in his twilight years.

Nantz has always gotten on my nerves although a big part of that was because I couldn't stand Phil Simms.

The way people on TV talk about The Masters has become too reverent and too precious for me, and the full on glaze that Nantz has for Augusta makes me hate it (even though I bet it is an awesome experience in-person).

"You have to call the fans patrons and you can't use certain terms like in the rough" GFY.

His basketball play-by-play is about the only thing I can listen to him on.

Amanda and Rory were fricking. Possibly the cause for his short divorce but cheaper to keep her situation for Rory

I gave Nantz a pass on Masters story for repeating the Rory story at the end of regulation AND in the playoff. But the very next week to be drooling over JT was too much.! So much bias .!

Nantz has noticeably slowed down mentally in the past couple of years. He does not seem as sharp.
