I watch a lot of high school basketball around my area.

I’ve noticed a ton of these
Kids with tattoos… and not just small ones,
Some have dull sleeves.

My son is in 8th grade, and has played against multiple teams (middle school and AAU) with kids with tattoos.

What’s going on…?

Shitty parents, also now not having a Tattoo is actually more about being different from the crowd than having one.

But my thinking is...............they dont "look" like they have the extra money for the 1000 dollar tat.

But what do I know.

The internet.

Shortsighted teenagers.

Bad or non-existent parenting.

Remember back in the 90s I remember seeing kids with earrings and trendy weird haircuts, and being surprised how desperate their parents were to be cool with the kids.

It's way beyond that now, with parents willing to go to the news and protest if they kids can't wear whatever they want.

Maybe stop trying to guess peoples financial status based on appearance and focus on your kid playing basketball

I’ll give you credit. You got really creative to come up with a topic to brag about your kid playing AAU ball.

Anyone can play AAU ball, it’s only a big deal if you’re good

Got plenty of ammo to brag if I wanted….lol….just saying.

And yes- anyone can play AAU , as above poster said.

Only the good ones play on the shoe circuits. Etc…

There is a national level travel baller out of Arizona that had elbow to wrist sleeve at 11

No I’m not joking. Everyone was like wtf. Some mom in every tournament I have seen him throws a big enough fit that the impact make him put a sleeve on to cover it up.

what kind of parent lets their middle schooler get a tattoo…much less let a 5th grader get an arm sleeve? fricking laughable
