He was so not clutch. I vaguely remember a Thursday night season opener where he needed a chip shot to beat the Pats and he shanked that one too.

Made a reference to "our drunk kicker shooting his mouth off" at the pro bowl ...Vanderjagt didn't solely not get a job because he was a douche...after that missed FG, he was never the same...if I remember correctly he got picked up by another team but shortly was cut because he couldn't make routine FGs anymore...he went from most accurate kicker ever to 5th in a super short period of time.
He was essentially the Brad Lidge of kickers...after the Pujols homerun that still hasn't landed. Lidge did however get his confidence back but Vanderjagt was simply never the same.

Didn't he shank that playoff kick into row 38 after the Bus fumbled at the goal line (he's from Detroit) and Manning drove the Colts down in the final seconds.
