Every year for probably 2 decades I watch the first few weeks, then stop watching; really wanna watch this year! Go Grizz.

Does your dad play on an NBA team?

You’re doing it wrong. Watch the last two weeks and then the playoffs.

I usually wait until the Final Four is done, then starting watching.

You have to be really good at basketball.

The last time I was into nba basketball was during the bird/magic era and when the bulls were good with pippen and jordan. After that I lost interest and haven’t watched any games. I can’t put a finger on it but I just lost interest and don’t care to get it back.
It’s college ball for me in all sports nowaday.

The game features great athletes having a 3 point contest. That’s boring after a while.
Also, I find modern athletes less likable. I don’t know if it’s the money or what. I don’t need my stars to dress up for the red carpet into the stadium, or worried about load management, etc. I want them ready to destroy an opponent. I guess this makes me old.

The most interested I was in the NBA was when Olajuwon and the Rockets were ballin’. They shot some 3’s but the offense went through the big man. If he didn’t get double teamed, he would shoot. When doubled, he would hit a cutter or kick it out for a 3. When it was Harden’s Rockets, they just walked it up the court and started chucking 3’s. That was the end of my interest.

3 pointers and dunks, no defense, whoever has the ball jacks it up, traveling all over the place. A damn free for all and the rappers took over.
Just not my cup of tea.

The athletes of today are amazing but the game and storylines just don’t seem as compelling anymore.
The 80s/90s had a lot of compelling draws. Celtics, Showtime Lakers, Dr. J Sixers, Twin Tower Rockets. And even the teams that didn’t win/appear in championship were solid. Dominique’s Hawks, Cavs, etc.
The teams seemed to stick together for several years and had unique styles. Pistons finally came of age but had to eventually conquer the Celtics and Lakers. Bulls finally came of age but ultimately had to conquer the Pistons. Pat Riley went to New York and playing a completely different style of ball than his old Showtime Lakers, the Knicks came of age but could never get that final series win for a title.
Teams are kinda thrown together now , don’t stay together for too long and it’s feels like mercenary ball. Whoever can throw the most stars together for a run.
Like I said, the athletes of today are incomparable but the game and the stories just aren’t as compelling to really develop the interest in the growth and path of the various teams as they kinda grow their way into becoming a champion.

Get on the Lakers. Right now they are way down yet foul stats are:
Cavs 23 fouls
Lakers 6 fouls
Cavs 5 FT attempts
Lakers 28 FT attempts
Lolol. They don’t even hide it
