How is Tim Lincecum not a Hall of Famer?

2 Cy Young’s
3 World Series titles
4 all star games
2 no hitters
3 times NL strikeout leader.
How many two time Cy Young winners won’t or aren’t in the Hall of Fame?

All while being the smallest ace of all time.

It isn't the brightest star. Or the longest career.
The HOF is reserved for the vest of both.

Clemens falls under the “juiced” umbrella.

He had 4 good seasons. Not exactly a HOF career. And the other 6 seasons were awful lol.

and the starting pitcher has the toughest HOF threshold

Big time Timmy Jim
He was incredible for like a 4 year stretch but 110-89 3.74 ERA isn’t sniffing the HOF in any era

Clemens
Saberhagen
Johan Santana
Denny McClain
Lincecum had a great 4 year stretch but it wasn't a hall of fame career
ETA: Do you think Johan Santana is a hall of famer? He also had a stretch with 2 Cys in 4 years and the numbers are remarkably similar to Lincecums over his 4 year run.
Lincecum
Santana
If you'll click the start year and the end year in their stats, it'll automatically totally the stats in that range. They're wildly similar for those 4 year scratches
Lincecum 08-11
Santana 04-07

I saw multiple Lincecum vs Ubaldo Jimenez matchups at Coors Field from right behind the on deck circles several times. Both were in their primes at the same time. It was a pleasure to watch.

2006 Golden Spikes winner. I’m still pissed at the Mariners for passing on the hometown prospect in that year’s draft.

I will be the guy to say that too many pitchers and not enough hitters get into the HOF...
Posted on 6/29/23 at 9:35 pm to CBandits82
Because his prime wasn't long enough and his career stats weren't good.
Posted on 6/29/23 at 9:40 pm to CBandits82
His career was not very good besides a couple of seasons.
