I remember it well but never knew how big a POS the DA and the University acted. It was almost an immediate response from the feminatzis and race baiters wanting blood.
One of the Durham police officers committed suicide several years after the case. Duke paid the 3 defendants $20 million each.
The DA was disbarred and spent 1 day in jail. That a-hole should have done 10 years in a cell with Tyrone. He hid DNA evidence proving the kid’s innocence. He also knew from cell phone records that she made during the time she was supposedly getting gang raped.
One of the Attorneys for a Duke player read a book from Amazon in forensic DNA evidence. The DA dumped 2500 pages of DNA data to the defense team. This dude figured out the DA had lied about the DNA evidence. The case started unraveling from their and they figured out Nifong was lying about a bunch of shite.

Innocent until proven guilty. Never believe the government or the news.

That case opened my eyes to the fact that the NYT is not a trustworthy news outlet. It’s performance was ridiculously bad.

The push behind that case today would’ve been 100x worse

My favorite 30 for 30. Fantastic Lies. So damn good. I’m on the road for work, but I have it on DVR for when I get back home.

Nifong is a despicable human being. Maybe he’s had time to reflect and has developed remorse for what he did. I don’t know. If he did, good for him, but wow, what a piece of shite.

That young attorney was fantastic when the lead attorney put him in the spotlight on the DNA aspect. He was nervous as hell, but he nailed Nifong’s lying arse with brutal efficiency.

Great watch.

Wonder what happened to that AD @ Duke, surely another university wouldn’t have hired that guy who failed to protect his student athletes.

The fact that Nifong was allowed to roam free after putting those kids through all of that just so he could get reelected is a travesty in and of itself.

So the network that helped convict innocent men in the eyes of the public makes a documentary years later with that title. So, so typical of progressives that run our lying media.

It opened my eyes to how vile the mainstream media is in general, and how they won't apologize for anything. Just look at how that coward Nancy Grace remained employed.

For as big a case as this was, it only took the country about a decade to memory-hole it and revert to "believe all women".

Nifong was also the DA on that Michael Peterson case and was eventually made an HBO show with Colin Firth and a Netflix documentary. Wild couple of years in Durham

What’s the name of the documentary? I wanted to do re-watch recently and couldn’t find it. That DA was a huge piece of shite.
