Let's revisit...best entrances in college football

I was sitting here being triggered over how apathetic and lame the Badger student section has become after being absolutely rabid and packing the stadium for kickoff in the early 90s when our program rose to prominence. One solution among a few that would work is having a pregame "thing" that is a big draw. And that got me thinking about the best entrances in the sport...the ones that students actually want to be there in time to experience.
The obvious one is Va Tech and Enter Sandman. South Carolina does an awesome job of it too, culminating in Sandstorm, and of course there's Michigan and slapping the banner...not all that impressive on its own but historic and "their thing". What else am I missing for really cool shite or productions that get people in their seats early?

The Clemson bus thing is cheesy as frick.
This is strong.

Saw that up close last year for the ND game. And while the rock and running the hill are pretty cool, it's pretty standard compared to the "production" of those other things that pack the students in.

Always liked FSUs. The fire stick thing puts it over the top

I was in the marching band at PSU from 1993-1996. They took a small pep band to Madison in 1996 and we were impressed with the overall bedlam the student section displayed. At the time, much better than PSU’s spoiled student section and better than Michigan and OSU. Gary Moeller neutered PSU’s students when PSU got flagged for excessive crowd noise.
PSU’s student section didn’t get really good again until 2002 when they fricked with Nebraska QB Jamal Lord’s head when they caused a false start, strip sack / recovery ruled a forward pass, then a pick 6 on three successive plays.

VOLS running through the T, especially for a night kickoff. Absolutely electric
Starts around the :40 mark

Yup, that 1996 game against PSU was actually my first conference game as a Badger student and the stadium was up for grab that day. Tough loss.
This is what the team runs out to now....this was easily the biggest game of last year (against OSU), splash hire coach, late start. They've been living off the work and notoriety of those who came before them.

VTech and Florida State are the winners for me.

I know it's not an entrance but the Jump Around for Wisconsin is amazing

This was a great one for comedy... I witnessed it live in person

I don't know what Clemson sportswriter of grad assistant named their entrance, the self-proclaimed "most exciting 25 seconds in College Football" (stolen from the Kentucky Derby, "the most exciting 2 minutes in sports") but it's really meh....its 25 yards running down a ramp into a million balloons.
Doesn't come close to firing up the fan like VaTech. But AT LEAST it's a tradition WAY OLDER than every member of Metallica.

From the first day the gates opened to Memorial Stadium, prior to warmups, Howard had his team enter through the east side gate where they would run down the hill instead of walking around. It was a tradition that was born out of convenience more than anything else.
At first, there was no carpet for the players to run down. There was no band playing Tiger Rag. There were no fans. It was just the team running down the hill to do warmups. It was not really that special.
However, eventually fans started showing up a little bit earlier each home game and would cheer the Tigers on as they came down the hill. Over the years the crowds grew from a few people to a few hundred.
In the late 1950s, Clemson alum S.C. Jones was driving through Death Valley, California when he stopped his car and picked up a 10-pound rock and put it in his trunk. He carried the rock all the way back to Clemson, where Memorial Stadium had already taken on the moniker Death Valley.

It's a long video but this is cool shite. This is the kind of vibe and party that makes kids wanna be there for it.

It's a cool spectacle, problem is that half of them leave right after when the 4th quarter starts. I know people bag on Michigan for the stadium not being loud enough (it is damn loud, now at least), their coeds being ugly (ok, that's mostly true), but for big games they're jammed in and they're there for the actual game.

VT and FSU are obviously up top IMO.
Miami's smoke entrance isn't unique anymore but still feels very Miami to me.
I get its kind of cheesy, but I think the Clemson entrance is pretty "classic college football" to me.
The entrance itself isn't great but the environment at Neyland when they run through the T is crazy before a big game.

USC is pretty cool with the Trojan throwing the sword into the ground.

The one thing I always loved was when Miami would play "In the Air of the Night" during the warm ups...

I know it’s nothing special, but I always loved it when Les Miles LSU teams would run out the tunnel to Welcome to the Jungle.
