I don’t mind the split as much as the fact they made 5 freakin divisions. Tiny privates are not giving out scholarships. Select should be 2, maybe 3 divisions. Let’s the small schools play with public. If a school gives out an athletic scholarship they get sent to play up in select.

So many damn brackets for not that many teams in our state, such a joke

i hate the split but there are absolutely teams in div iV that are giving scholarships.

but who the frick cares? honestly i went to public and i do not understand the obsession with trying to punish the private schools or schools that want to go to a different district. Kids should be able to attend where ever they want and the money should follow them

1) you dont own kids just because they live in your district. They are not your kids

2) If you dont want kids to leave your district to go play somewhere else or to go to school somewhere else

A) improve your product in the class room and in the areas of discpline

B) improve your program on the field and have your booster clubs invest in bringing in outside coaches

C) stop restricting what coaches can make outside of their salary. If a school wants to pay a head football coach 100k through the booster club...stfu and let the man make the money. thats why the best coaches usually coach in texas with some exceptions

D) improve the facilities and you strength and conditioning programs.

E) improve your schools alumni network and put more kids into college but promoting them. Example...have student interns who are interested in going into sport broadcasting..perform interviews and full on production and post it on social media. Have the same type of crew broadcast the games to twitter. We got 9u teams going live at all times...yet high schools cant. Have those that are interested in film put together high light and promotional montages like colleges do in football. so called hype videos. etc. Put together highlight recruitment videos etc This is all essentially free stuff.

its annoying as frick when people say....oh frick that school...they offered our best player a scholarship so he left...well frick he left because your school and program sucks. Do better and they wont leave.

for example...the best players arent leaving barbe unless its about playing time or just culture fit.
