Michigan received their NOA

Many have tweeted about it but from Nicole Auerbach:
Why are Minter and Robinson negotiating if Stallions was truly a lone wolf? I am so confused.

News: The NCAA has delivered its official Notice of Allegations to Michigan in the Connor Stalions/in-person scouting case, source tells @NBCSports.

Most of what has previously been reported from ESPN regarding the draft NOA remains. Per source, Jesse Minter and Denard Robinson are working with the NCAA on a negotiated resolution, so it's a split case. The rest will go the Committee on Infractions route.

One other difference: Michigan's earlier case involving COVID-era recruiting violations has now been resolved by the NCAA. So, Harbaugh/Moore can be considered repeat violators.
Why are Minter and Robinson negotiating if Stallions was truly a lone wolf? I am so confused.

I'm sure the people trapped in 1984 care deeply about this.

I was assured that the morally superior Michigan Man would never stoop to the level of us poor, benighted Southerners in the SEC.

They still own Ryan Day and won the title last year but if this makes you feel better I'm happy for you

They arent taking their title away
Nothing else really matters

We don’t even want to like Michigan but Ohio State fans are really good at making us

This simply has to be the most unjust and wasteful witch hunt since the Russian hoax, Michigan's lawyers better be ready to sue if a "settlement" isn't reached

100%, I really think this all is a witch hunt but all the OSU people seething and squirming about this nothing burger really makes them sympathetic

Because only 2 of the 11 things in the NOA are related to sign stealing. Rest is related due off campus recruiting stuff during covid restrictions.
Minter is facing accusations of helping set up an Instagram account for a recruit, which is what he is settling. Robinson also was accused level 3 recruiting violations.

Sorry, it’s getting difficult to track Michigan’s rampant rules violations. Part of the confusion is probably just shock considering the university and fanbase is self reported to be of the highest character and moral standards.

Michigan’s title last year was still more legit than the one in 2020

You sure about that, skippy? Jimbo alreay has a show cause related to the recruiting stuff during COVID. My understanding is that this NOA is completely separate from the earlier violations.

What was illegitimate about Michigan’s title in 2023?
They didn’t sign steal against any of their major opponents (news broke before Michigan played anyone decent), and their HC was suspended vs PSU and OSU. Still won those games
It would make no sense to take away a title for rules violations that occurred in separate games.
OSU fans also always ignore that OSU was aware of the sign stealing before the 2022 game and changed their signs. It didn’t matter.
I have yet to hear a rationale for why the 2023 title should be taken away.
2021 and 2022 big ten titles at least have an argument

If this was Bama every SEC fan here would would be RIP like the macho man with how red faced you’d be yelling at Finebaum
OSUs biggest rival cheated for three years. They got caught cheating, OSU fans are happy they are being punished. No one could see that coming

Former defensive coaches Jesse Minter and Steve Clinkscale were mentioned for other recruiting violations separate from the sign stealing investigation. Minter and Robinson are reportedly negotiating with the NCAA on a resolution, but the rest of the charges are expected to go before the infractions committee. Harbaugh and Moore are also subject to “repeat offender” status due to their suspensions from the last NOA.

So because they cheated multiple times early in the year of 2023 that’s ok?

Minter is going to be the subject of his own ncaa investigation.
