After about the top 50 overall they probably just pick a bunch of random high schools

They got together the finest group of 55 year old men in mom's basement to select the teams.

You could put a couple dozen LA school ahead of St. Amant.

Definitely true. Case in point, Ohio.

They aren't random per se, they are perennial good/decent teams at even the lowest divisions. List is impossible to compile accurately.

Acadiana, Zachary, WM, Pontchatoula, Curtis, Westgate, LCA, STM, De la Salle, Neville, Destrehan, Woodlawn, Catholic, UHigh, Jesuit, Byrd, Karr, Warren, Notre Dame, ED White, Ruston, Captain Shreve, Northwood, EA
There’s 2 dozen that are objectively better than St Amant and I probably missed a few

Pretty weird seeing no mention of Evangel on these lists anymore. Went from a perennial top 25 high school team in the country to not even making a random top 1000. As one of the great musical influences of our generation once sang- “A star is born. A star burns out.”

Where does that random fake team that managed to play on ESPN against a top 5 team last year rank?

This list is bullshite. Mayfield High School here is not listed under Kentucky. Mayfield is the 2nd winningest program in Kentucky behind Male, and 4th overall nationally.

3 of the top 5 winningest programs are from Kentucky.

2. Male (Louisville)
4. Mayfield
5. Highlands (Ft. Thomas)
