Deion didn't. The kid's attitude did...which I guess Deion probably coddled, but damn.

Apparently many teams took him completely off their boards after their interviews. One NFL exec said he was the worst interview ever. There is a reason he is sliding and it has more to do with him than his pops.

His daddy taught him everything he knows about being an a-hole.

Deion is fully responsible for who Shadeur is and the way he acts.

Deion was looking out for Deion and Deions ego the whole time. He should’ve let Shadeur find his own path in college.

Shedeur has some responsibility he’s 23 years old

Oh he does for sure. I have a kid. If I raise my kid to be an arrogant a-hole who doesn’t know how to carry himself when it’s time for him to interview for a job, I will take full responsibility. Deion will blame everyone but the man in the mirror. It’s who he is.

It’s certainly a joint effort

You cannot be serious with this question.

Someone like Deion is not capable of that kind of introspection.

It’s probably the opposite. Deion was Shadeur’s coach every day from high school through college. Deion can only believe that HE is the reason for every level of Shadeur’s success.

Go watch Cam Wards dads message to him and see Wards path. Overcame injuries, commanded respect through hard work, leader the minute he walks onto a team.
Ward was not a highly rated recruit but ended up being the #1 pick. He is truly a role model kids should look up to. Sad his success is being overshadowed by the Sanders circus.

Both probably thought Shedeur could act the way Deion did during his draft process. One of the most famous stories is Deion walking out from a meeting because the team was picking too low to realistically draft him.

You can act the way Deion did because world class speed trumps clownish behavior. When you’re running a sub 4.5 at a skill position you better have a howitzer for an arm, laser accuracy and a lightning fast release to overcome your antics.

You have to remember that Shedue has never played for anyone that wasn't Deion. He probably genuinely thought there was nothing wrong with how he acted in his interviews.

That's all on his dad.

You can put up with this attitude from a freak athlete DB, you cannot put up with this from a short QB without a super strong arm and not much top end speed.

Shedeur will still probably have the chance to prove himself and it's not like the family is hurting for money so if he only gets a late round or UDFA paycheck it's not the end of the world.

Making sure you’re the only coach your son has ever had probably doesn’t prepare the kid well for going to work for an NFL team.

This!
If he was the type of generational talent that Deon was, he wouldn’t have fallen this far. He really must have pissed some people off in the interviews.

Look at Hunter, he had the arrogance & ability to tell the coaches he wouldn’t play if he couldn’t be on both sides of the ball. They still took him #2. Why? Because he was good enough.
