I have never seen this movie but they hype the hell out of it in "Sleepless in Seattle" and was wondering if it is worth the purchase on Amazon Prime.

it's Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, of course it's worth it

The big high level 1950s rom com equivalents are almost all superb films.

Yeah, it's really good. I mean, it's a 50s chick flick, but it's good.
Personal story time:
My entire life my Dad used to hum this the first first bars of this little tune. I had no idea what it was and just assumed it was something he'd made up. I mean, I heard him hum it a 1000 times if I heard it once.
Then this one time I'm watching Affair to Remember with my then girlfriend/now wife and holy hell, the tune he's hum all these years is the freaking theme song to this movie! I immediately called him up and asked him, and he was like, "Yeah...why?" He just assumed everyone knew...

Yeah .... absolutely true. Although I have to admit that the Warren Beatty/Annette Bening version is also top-notch.

Holy shite, they could make some movies back in the day, legit had someone chopping onions in my kitchen for the ending. I knew it was coming but it still got me.

I like the original better with Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne. It's called Love Affair (1939).
Grant is good, but I liked Dunne better.
