Beastmaster was awesome; better than Conan in my opinion. But, I'm leaning towards Krull being the better movie. The giant spider lair scared me as a child, and I often wondered if I would be brave enough to handle that situation. Now that I'm an adult, I know that I'm too much of a coward to deal with giant milky white spiders. Plus Krull had a kick arse magic boomerang ninja star.

Okay...firstly Beastmaster was a great flick but in no way better than Conan. And Krull is worse than Beastmaster in shchlock factor. Beastmaster made me love ferrets. That is all.

What about Steel Dawn or Yor?

Both Krull/Beast are are better than the above but still too cheesy in a non-fun way like Ice Pirates!

Seriously...the best 80's sci fi/fantasy cheese flick of the 80's...hands down.

This. Plus Conan had a great villain.

Dragonslayer was better than Krull (even though Krull had Liam Neesom and Haggard)

Tough call. Overall, I think Beastmaster was the better film, but Krull has a special, embrace the cheesiness factor. I really like them both.

I've never seen Krull, but there's no way it's better than Beastmaster. That's one of my all time favorite movies, and arguably the best "B movie" of all time.

I wish they would still show it 27 times a week on TBS like they use to!

Krull was awesome, but I have to go with Beastmaster. The ferrets stole the movie.

Has anyone seen Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time? That is a classic.

Beastmaster by far! It had top-shelf nudity! No competition from Krull.

Let's compare the things that really matter:

Beastmaster
-surprise tits in a PG movie
-ferrets
-monsters with cloaks that eat people through their bellies
-dad from Good Times

Krull
-cool throwing star weapon
-was turned into an arcade game
-movie title was Krull

Clearly, Beastmaster wins.

I'd go with Krull, but it's a close one. I'm going with the glaive and Liam Neeson over Tanya's tits and the ferrets.

Hold on their, scooter. Conan will always be the best sci fi/fantasy movie ever.

While were on the subject, anyone ever see Red Sonja? Arnold, Brigette Nielson when she was still hot? Also, a young Ernie Reyes Jr who would go on to fame as Keno in Ninja Turtles 2?

Definitely my two favorite sci-fi type movies growing up but Beastmaster wins this one by a landslide.

I actually had a ferret named Podo b/c of that movie.
