I think Capital One would've wasted their money if people didn't get that obvious recreation of Saturday Night Fever.
Although movie iconic...
Maybe they overestimated current moviegoers pop culture knowledge or maybe they're using nostalgia to target customers that will actually pay their credit card bills off.

Also remember that "dumb as a rock" Fran Drescher was in that film as well -
(Although she tended to look better as she aged towards The Nanny, she was also in early 80s fare such as Spinal Tap and Doctor Detroit)
