Go See Warfare In Theaters Before It's Too Late

Unbelievable experience. If you wait to watch it at home, you'll be doing yourself a massive disservice. Very, very few movies demand a theatrical viewing. This is one of them.
Expertly produced with some of the best sound design ever put to film.

It's amazing, especially in a premium format. It deserves a bigger audience

I saw it in a small 20-seat theater in Lafayette and it was mindblowing. Can't imagine what it must be like in a premium IMAX-type experience

What is mindblowing about it? Are you talking about the visuals/sounds and such that you just wouldn't be able to get at home?

I took a buddy who doesn't go to the theater very often. We both sat there for a minute once it ended just soaking up what we experienced. He was completely blown away and thanked me for taking him.

Sound design and the communal experience, specifically. Everyone in the theater was squirming and tense and you could just feel it without even looking around.
If you have a true Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 (or better) setup with upfiring speakers and a great sub, I could see a home viewing as adequate.
Just trust me, you won't be disappointed. I'm not a big "theater experience" guy because I have an elite setup at home, but this is one instance where I feel obligated to evangelize it and encourage others to make the theater trip

Incredible movie
Saw it for the second time this past weekend. Took my 16 year old step son. The screams, man. This movie puts you there.

It was in my local theater for only a week. Was extremely pissed when it wasn't there this weekend.
This is one I'm willing to drive 2 hrs to see in a theater, but it just seems like it's getting no traction.

Bold of you to see it twice in such rapid succession

I wanted to go again because I wanted to really pay attention to all of the soldiers before all of the crazy shite happens. You see which ones crumble and which ones didn’t. Not gonna go into any spoilers, but this movie is so good on so many levels. Just the things that happen and how it affects these guys. And these guys are navy seals. It’s just a wild story. Also wanted to take my teenager because I wanted him to know what he’s getting into if he wants to go to the military. Not that this is a common thing, but it’s possible.

Absolutely. Don’t take anyone squeamish or most of the women folk.

I heard the sound mix is incredible.

Hate reliving certain mental aspects but i always end up watching them all once.

Ok movie but it’s nothing special. War films are already an over-saturated genre.

I mean, its a pretty unique telling of the war that I don't remember really seeing before.

Not any more unique than The Hurt Locker

This is a good point. SeALs are the best we have. Best physically and mentally and the best trained.
Now imagine encountering the same type situations and you are regular Army infantry or a National Guard Infantry brigade. Brutal.

It’s way more intense than Hurt Locker

I really have a hard time comparing Warfare to The Hurt Locker.
Curious what combat vets have to say about this movie vs Hurt Locker. I remember vets shitting all over Hurt Locker. Warfare seems like a movie "for the veterans".
