I feel like Interstellar will ultimately be the film Nolan is most remembered for...

Of course I could end up being wrong, but these numbers definitely tell a convincing tale. Not only that, it currently sits at #18 on the IMDB Top 250 list with a whopping 8.7/10 rating. I realize he has other films rated higher, but I feel like Interstellar's reputation has been growing steadily over the past dozen years while some of his other films haven't withstood the test of time quite as well.

It will either be Interstellar or The Dark Knight. Batman is still a big name to the general public and movie nerds love his take on it.

Personally I think it's Inception or Interstellar
But then I like Tenet and Dunkirk more than TDK so I'm probably an outlier

I think Inception is his best TDK right there with it. Interstellar had a dumb ending. Made the whole movie seem pointless.

That movie doesn’t get the love it deserves.

One thing is for sure I celebrate the guys entire catalogue.

The scale of the story is what’s gonna make it carry on
The message that love transcends all dimensions and time . It’s really something.

Dark Knight was definitely the much bigger hit but for some reason the general public don't associate it with Nolan as strongly as they do Interstellar.
Interstellar isn't his most successful movie or his best movie, but for some reason it's kinda the first one Joe Everyman may think of if you asked them to name a Nolan film.

Interstellar is in my Top-5 favorites but I think it is TDK due to the wide reach.

I was going to chime in with this exactly.

The Prestige should be the one he’s remembered for.

The Prestige is the best movie he made, and it's not close IMO.
And I love most of his movies. But The Prestige is on another level.

Hans Zimmer and the fact that they made discoveries about black holes while trying to film will make that movie great forever.

I disagree. “The Odyssey” will be his legacy film. People are already claiming it may be better than The Lord of the Rings (personally my favorite film ever).

Friend,
I agree with you. Nolan is the Michael Bay of pseudo-intellectuals and his movies lack any heart. The first of his movies — Memento —I saw at the old Canal Place Theater after eating three delicious regular slices at Sbarro’s, which at that time was the best pizzeria in New Orleans. It was a mesmerizing movie for a 16 year old. When attempting to watch it again in my 20s it was so boring I could not bear to watch more than 30 minutes of it. The movie was like a tantalizing magic trick. The first time viewing, gripping and shocking. But once the magic is revealed, it is but a hollow trick, an illusion.
Such are all of Nolan’s movies, except Interstellar, which I saw on opening night at the huge curved IMAX at Chicago’s Navy Pier, which apparently has since shuttered. Interstellar moves like memory. It is unhurried but hurried and reflective. The sunlight lingers on dust in the air and words arrive late or not at all. There is poetry in Interstellar that is lacking in every other Nolan movie. It is the only movie of his worthy of a second viewing. And half of his movies are not worth even a first viewing.

I think The Prestige is his best film, but I think his legacy is The Dark Knight or Interstellar. They are iconic, especially TDK.
But I absolutely love all of these movies:
The Prestige
Batman Begins
Interstellar
Inception
Oppenheimer
Memento
Really like these:
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
Insomnia
Dunkirk
And think this is not great:
Tenet

I think people need to admit that Nolan already hit his peak and is on the way down.
