Batman Begins is the better movie.
ETA: Downvote all you want, but The Dark Knight is a really stupid movie with atmosphere and one good performance.
The story is weaker than Begins. The acting is either over-the-top or mailed in (I'd say it depends on the actor for which of the two categories they fall into, but you see actors do both in different scenes throughout the movie), A great performance despite having to work with a terribly written character that is completely misunderstood by the writers and filmmakers (and is still misunderstood by Hollywood because of this film), and a Hero who is reactive instead of proactive, making him weak and ineffective.
The Dark Knight tries to do what many other movies and stories have tried to do (and influenced many more to attempt) and it resulted in failure just like they did: it tries to make the Villain the agent of chaos. It fails as a story because that archetype is a Hero archetype.

I think people need to admit that Nolan already hit his peak and is on the way down.
I don't agree with this. Oppenheimer was excellent.

TDK is one of the greatest movies of all time. It’s his #1 for sure

Growing up watching old Adam west Batman + the animated series and Batman Begins,
Nolan’s take on Gotham felt like the absolute epitome of all I’d envisioned it in my head over the years. Felt like he also held true to every character as best he could and made it the best version it could be. I think he nailed the setting.

Same. I’ve rewatched it a dozen times at least. It’s fabulous.

Maybe I need to rewatch it but I just couldn’t get into Interstellar.

I get what they did with the ending, but going all trippy at the end kind of knocks you out of the movie.
This next sentence will sound ridiculous:
It reminded me of an Adam Sandler move that just goes off the rails in the final act.

Throw in the Prestige and I agree.
That movie doesn’t get the love it deserves.
It sure as fricking shite doesn't. The amount of retards that have never even heard of it is infuriating.
