How the hell would the publisher be cool with that unless HBO was paying them as well. Never will there be more interest in that world than over the past few years.

Saw that last night. Apparently he's a big fan of the books and he's not saying it like it's an opinion, but I've been burned too many times.

I can believe book six is done, as he had a lot of chapters left over from book five which got leaked as teasers for book six.

Book seven? I highly doubt it given his pace.

After seeing seasons 7 and 8 (excluding the last episode obviously) I think a lot of people will be eager to read the real ending.

I know.

There a lot of potential book buyers that won’t buy now because the feel like they don’t need it now after the show is over.

I can forgive them rushing if the books are done.

There have been about 5-6 pre-released chapters from book 6 already, so I can believe it is done or close to it.

Ooh boy if this is true I can't wait for the melts since D&D would have had them for seasons 7-8

I really doubt his publisher would allow HBO access to unpublished manuscripts.

Plot twist, the ending of GOT was written from the advance copies GRRM gave D&D

Supposedly a couple hundred of pages were moved from Dance to Winter. It would't surprise me if it has been held back for a year or two. Book 7 being done would be a huge shock, but money motivates. The publisher knows waiting another 10 years for the last book to drop would be a huge loss compared to say the series wrapping up in the next couple of years. Maybe they've had a secret team of writers down in Santa Fe working with George.

Don't kid yourself though, this guy is full of crap. He read some reddit post and took it as fact.

If this is true though you would assume they would have used them as source material regardless of if they were published or not.

They have said he gave them an outline of the conclusion. It's not a huge leap to think they actually got more. Maybe not a finished manuscript but early edits/synopsis.

And the publisher/HBO deal could even had given them access to the material, no one knows really.
