Anyone watch? I don't follow his podcast but I know it's HUGE so him going back to standup is a big deal. Wondering if the guy is actually funny enough for me to give it a shot. I've enjoyed the Chapelle specials.

He never stopped doing standup. I think he just had a different netflix special a year or two ago.

I enjoy a lot of podcasters when they’re riffing with friends and off the cuff but their standup is mediocre at best.

Dillon, Bert, Rogan, and Vonn are in this camp.

I think Dillon is by far the most hilarious podcast interview and ranter I’ve ever seen…. But his standup sucks.

It was ok, if you're a big fan of Rogan then you'd probably enjoy it but it wasn't anything groundbreaking or even hilarious. It was almost like an informal apology guised as a standup comedy routine.

It was okay. I think there may have been a couple of "he didn't just say that moments" but they were few and far between. The rest was more along the lines of Sensible Chuckle.

This one seemed entirely based on the experiences he’s had in his podcast studio. Which makes sense given how much time he spends there but hard to relate to jokes like “isn’t it crazy how I’m friends with Elon musk, he’s like sooo smart”

He said on his podcast a couple days ago that it has been 6 years since his last special.

If Rogan didn’t have his podcast, he’d be a theater comic at best. His podcast gets people to come see his standup, not because he’s funny, but because he’s famous. That’s how he’s able to do arenas.

I saw Jay Mohr (who sucks in his own way) recently lamenting on Bobby Lees podcast how it’s ironic that Rogan has become “the arbiter of funny”, which I thought was a good line he basically controls the top end of standup while not being very good at it himself

If you want to dislike these guys, go watch Bert call us “civilians” or Rogan talk about how being a comedian is harder work than becoming a physician.

Surprised how much of an a-hole Segura became. You can feel his active distain for his fans and the general public often

He seems like a dork that’s lashing out now that he has money and security. I used to be a weekly YMH listener from 2018-21 but can’t stand him or Bert now.

It was OK. Nothing groundbreaking, but that's what I expected going in.

One the my gripes with it is that he repeated a joke from a prior special or at least a joke I had heard about before with the joke about getting caught by his wife jerking it. Kind of felt like if you go 6 years between specials, it should all be new material.

there are definitely a lot more people making a living as doctors than Stand up comedians.

It’s probably requires way more luck to make it as a comedian than a doctor.

not just hard work.
