The original novel was daaaaaarrrrrkkk and would've certainly been rated R if the film was made to match the book.

Really hoping this is good. Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time, after that we’ve had

TLW-Very good IMO
JP3-bad
JW-Solid
Fallen Kingdom-bad
Dominion-bad, focused on bugs

Feel like this is right up Gareth’s alley, I have more confidence in this one than I had for the previous 2 JWs.

If I've learned nothing else from these movies, I've learned that the absolutely most important thing you can pack when visiting a dinosaur island is flares.

Ok then, there’s potential there.

Baseline it will be stunning visually with a decent enough story, which is better than the last few entries.

I am cautiously optimistic. Johannson has talked about how she is a huge fan of the original, and she has a lot of sway as a star and a producer on this. Also, David Koepp is working on this and he wrote the original JP (amazing) and TLW (pretty good). Edwards isn't a bad director either. I'm still scarred from Dominion though, that was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in a theater. Just absolutely shite all over the IP.

Been saying this forever, just reboot the series and make a book accurate horror/sci-fi. However, it will never happen because the suits see JP as a property for kids.

I'm waiting for the Jurassic Multiverse.

I think in one of the universes humans are the dangerous beasts and velociraptors are the scientists.

I stopped watching these after 2. Are the rest of them any good?

Not really but Jurassic World is the Godfather compared to the other 3 you skipped.

no

JP - one of the greatest movies ever
TLW - pretty bad, but watchable (it's basically Jaws 2)

the rest of them are all hot garbage

They better not pull a switcheroo like the 2nd one if the new trilogy with all the GoldBlum and he was in it for 3 minutes total at the very end

I’ll watch as many of these as they put out, because dinosaurs. But the last two have not been good.

JP is one of the best movies ever made.
Lost World is really good, but the stupid arse San Diego sequence at the end takes it down a few notches.
I’ll go to bat all day for JP3. I love it and think it’s really good. My main gripe is it’s far too short for a JP movie.

Jurassic World is actually really good IMO.
Fallen Kingdom and Dominion are subpar though. What sucks is the first half of FK is good and the second half of D is good. So they could’ve made a solid movie with the best parts of both. But they didn’t. My son loves them though.
