Man on Fire - never knew it was a remake

Went to Hulu and typed in Man on Fire for a rewatch and got this...
The few differences is the original takes place in Italy and the little girl is a runner not a swimmer but still struggles getting out of the starting blocks.
Enjoyable film...has a 70s vibe despite being made in the late 80s.
I prefer Denzel's copycat but this European film is well worth the watch...

Agree. Watched a few years ago. Worth the time. Early role for Scott Glenn.

The mom in the Denzel version was "fire"!

I haven't checked this one out yet, but I keep meaning to. The Denzel version is up there at the top for Revenge pron imo

Thank you for the heads up. This was a good movie and well worth the watch.
I’m not sure what technically qualifies as a remake - both were based on the same novel. Both films differ from the novel on some major plot points apparently.
There were some facets of the Glenn movie that were well done, though a few parts of it that played very poorly (the relationship between Creasy and the girl had a creepy vibe). Overall, I think Denzel’s version was better.
