Mean Girls hidden joke

Being that it is the 20th anniversary of Mean Girls, I present to you the hidden joke that a lot of people missed.
Regina George tells Cady (Lindsey Lohan), that she shouldn't talk to or hang out with Janis because she's a lesbian.
Janis and Regina were friends when they were younger, but stopped being friends because Regina spread a rumor around that Janis was a lesbian.
Janis uses Cady to get back at Regina for this.
Later in the movie during prom, the Indian kid asks Janis if she was Puerto Rican, and she says that she is Lebanese.
This means that the premise of Mean Girls is based on the fact that Regina did not understand the difference between Lebanese and lesbian. Brilliant writing by Tina Fey

Saw this Means Girls revamp coming out. Will probably watch it one time but I'm sure it'll be terrible. People weren't afraid to write jokes in 2004. At least Tina Fey and Tim Meadows are in it.

Regina didn’t do it BECAUSE she was Lebanese, she just twisted Lebanese to fit her agenda because Janis liked the same boy as Regina, and Regina wanted to make sure Janis wouldn’t get him over her.
