“You took me by the haaand. And maaade me a maaaan. That one night! You made eeeeverythinng all right!”
That show could be awkward and a little much. But when it hit, it hit. Phyllis Wedding, Dinner Party, and Scott’s Tots are so unbelievably awesome episodes of tv.

I don’t think The Office could be made today in our hyper PC culture.

And yet this show is still alive and well...

How can you say the show could be too awkward at times, then list Scott's Tots as one of your awesome episodes?

I haven't been able to watch that one all the way through. I can pretty much get up to where Stanley starts laughing his arse off about it, then I'm done.

Stanley's laughter when that got brought up is one of the purest and funniest things ever in the show.

Also, I am reading this "article" online about little hidden details in the show, and this one is great:
On this org. chart that Dwight made, he has two "male" symbols next to Oscar, and what appear to be moon diagrams under each woman at various phases. Dwight must have been tracking their monthly cycles

Also, next to Darryl and Stanley, are those raised clinched fists for "black power"?

Phyllis Wedding
When Phillis's dad stands up and walks down the aisle, Michael stands there a moment, then turns to the camera and says "This is bullshite!"

People talk about how cringeworthy this episode is, and while it's hilarious and one of my favorites, it was too over the top to make me cringe.
It was always the smaller moments that made me cringe, like when Michael and Toby are together when Jan calls.
Michael says "Yeppers."
Jan - "Michael! What did I tell you about saying yeppers?"
Michael looks at Toby, then looks down. "I, um, don't remember."
"I told you not to say it! Do you remember that?"
"Yessh."

That is awesome. Also, you'll notice that Phyllis and Meredith both have X's through their moons. Phyllis has probably gone through menopause and Meredith had a hysterectomy, or as Dwight put it, "her vagina removed".

To me the best part of that was when Michael declared "prima nocta."
Edit: maybe that wasn't the actual wedding episode but was earlier.

And Creed has quotation marks around his name. So much going on in that.

Such a great and subtle line

My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War II veteran. Killed twenty men then spent the rest of the war in an Allied Prison Camp.

And the emergency chart included Mose and Dwight's family, Andy being fired, and the warehouse workers being locked up.

Toby has a Star of David...

What's next to Andy's name?

A silhouette of a guy wearing cap and gown

That one screenshot of the org chart is so fricking great. I just realized his name was a little above Jim's, and says "Original Assistant Regional Manager."
Also, is that a clover next to Kevin's name?
Also, all of the females are connected with a pink dotted line. I would love to see that whole thing.
