[quote]you, sir, can go straight to hell.

Funny you attached that last shot at the bottom "ain't it cool" as it was the most cringeworthy part for me. And it was what they would feature in the commercial for it over and over.

The worst of a lot of bad casting. One of my favorite subjects, but I hated the movie. I saw it in the theater too.

Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique

Lawrence wasn't good, but Mystique is an overall boring character- especially to be a central character.

Sticking with this franchise, Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth was utterly atrocious. Sabretooth looks like Kevin Nash, Chris Hemsworth, or Trace Adkins. Schreiber, as competent an actor as he is, looks nothing like the character.

She was also miscast in Beautiful Girls....and A League of Their Own.

Basically everything she's ever been in.

Its jarring....like get that off the screen so I can maybe enjoy the movie.

Doubly-bad casting, given that they got it right in the first X-Men film.

If we are going by book descriptions vs the actors cast in the roles:

The Running Man
Arnold Schwarzenegger was cast as Ben Richards. Stephen King describes Richards as "Scrawny and pre-tubercular"...which is pretty much the opposite of Arnold.

Do you not watch college softball? There are some big women out there.

Samuel L Jackson in the Star Wars prequels. He’s too famous and it jars you out of the scene when he’s in it.

This would be like casting Burt Reynolds as the Emperor.

I am of the generation that saw this in the theater and I agree. There’s no way I can envision Michael Keaton kicking anyone’s arse.

I was 9 years old and thought it was shite casting. Keaton is too small.

Sorry if already mentioned, but one of the worst ever was Alec Baldwin as Dave Robicheaux in Heaven's Prisoners (slightly beating out Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan in Hunt for Red October).

Cool as hell, surfer-esque, but tough and easily handles depicting moral conflict.

I dunno. Vince Vaughn worked as Norman Bates after a trip to Vegas.
