How is it? Dude is blowing up and he seems like a great guy
He played our company sales meeting in the summer of 2023. It was for about 300 people and I had never heard of him before.

I’ll let you know as soon as I watch it. lol. I’m just assuming it will be great cause all his stuff has been. Yeah, dude is getting huge and it’s well deserved. I’ve been following him for years and he is a genuinely nice good dude so I’m glad he is hitting it big. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.

It’s hard not to like the guy. He’s just a good old Tennessee boy that does clean comedy and is a big family man
His whole family works for him. His dad is his opener as a magician, and his sister is his manager

As I've aged, I've learned to appreciate cleaner humor much more than vulgar or shock humor. It's much more difficult to be genuinely funny and not cheesy with clean humor and Nate pulls it off well.

He has a Christmas special on Paramount that Lorne Michaels and some of SNL helped with.
They have a Mary/Joseph/Angel skit that is just like the George Washington skit he does on SNL that was pretty funny.

Got tickets to see him at the Brea Improv in a couple of weeks. Pretty pumped. Got to see Bill Burr at the Comedy Store last weekend. So lucky be able to see all my favorite comics at these smaller venues.

quote:Very laid-back special. Amazed that Lorne Michaels loaned out his writers and cast for a CBS product. Shows the respect that he has for Bargatze, or if he just sees him as a rising star. Or Nate’s such a likable guy that Lorne couldn’t say no.

Apparently, Lorne loves the dude. I think he was the host with the shortest return date. He did the first Washington Sketch last season and already hosted again early this fall.
Mikey day and him I believe have started a writing team that produced the special and are working on other products

He has that perfect delivery of "I'm going to say something that every takes for granted and point out it's actually really absurd."

It was good but my wife and I had already seen a lot of the bits before in interviews and SNL. If you never see him in any other media it will be pretty funny. If you do watch him outside of his specials though it'll be a decent amount of rehashed material and he doesn't necessarily have a better delivery in this special than he may have had when doing the jokes in interviews. That's not to say it was bad, just worth noting is all.

While I agree I lot from the specials material was already out there he actually retires material once it comes out on a special. So as of today you’ll never see that same material again. It’s just that since he recorded this special he became super popular and was out there on everything including SNL twice so more of his current material got exposed. But if you went and saw him next week it would be 100% new stuff.

I laughed so fing hard, you don't have a soul if you don't laugh at this lol

The special is his jokes from his last tour. He began the tour and worked out the jokes in a 5 night stretch that included Baton Rouge.

The bit about peeing after you're 40 had me rolling.

I thought the same thing. But in the ending credits Lorne is a producer, or at least he has a producer credit, and he was thanked at the end.
