The first one with Kipling’s Boots is one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen.

Boots is so trippy. Kipling was a genius.

Bigly. It's such a creepy poem anyway, but the version they use in these trailers (Taylor Holmes from 1915 per Wiki*) has the creepy vibe so ramped up that it borders on terrifying.
I am so absolutely fricking geeked for this movie. I wasn't a huge fan of Weeks (but it was okay), and I'm not even sure how they're gonna make it work "28 years later." But I don't care...I'm so in.
* ETA: Also, per Wiki:
quote:
The 1915 spoken-word recording of the poem by American actor Taylor Holmes has been used for its psychological effect in U.S. military SERE schools.

the best thing about it being so long since the outbreak (28 years LOL) is you can really go anywhere with the story. There’s creepy shite shown in that trailer I and excited to see what this is all about.
get weird

Why do you think they play that audio over and over and over and over and over and over and over in SERE school. It's made to mentally unsettle and break you.

Garland writing. Boyle directing.

So what does the board think, this or Walking Dead: Dead City 2? Which will be better?
(That’s a joke BTW)

I won't be watching the trailer because that first one was so fricking phenomenal. Best trailer I've seen in at least a decade

Same I didn’t watch either, just had to acknowledge the first trailers greatness.

The first trailer was so good I contemplated putting into the OP in case others managed to not see it
Only movie this year I’ve been really looking forward to so far to be honest. Been trying to find a reason to go to the movies but brutal lineups this year.

I can't wait for this. I haven't seen it mentioned but "Boots" was a big influence on A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies Like Sheep" song, which is absolutely badass.

Feel good hit of the summer. "Yay! More zombie shite!"

So it takes place in northern England and apparently the virus didn't spread in mainland Europe (we see zombies running around in Paris at the end of 28 Weeks Later) because Paris got nuked.

Man, when I first watched Sicario, I remember thinking that I hadn't been that afraid of what was about to happen since I had watched 28 Days Later.
What Villaneuve was able to do with the ominous music and steadily busier camera shots leading into Juarez, Boyle did with limiting dialogue at key points and just showing people's reactions.

Uh, whats the story? I like that they don't give it away , but it also makes me worry a little. Old arse zombies aren't enough
