Best movie Clint made next to Unforgiven?
Watching Outlaw for first time in 20 years.
Seen all his movie 2 times over.

Favs westerns were HPD, GBU, FFD, FDM, HEH, PR, etc. But Outlaw is a masterpiece.

Discuss.
Best western he made.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is my favorite western of all time, followed very closely by The Searchers.

Unforgiven is in my top ten along with The Good, the bad...,Once upon a time in the west, The Wild Bunch, Shane, Ride Lonesome, Liberty Valance, Butch Cassidy and Jeremiah Johnson.

In late April the 4k discs of Josey Wales, Pale Rider and Dirty Harry arrive.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is a better movie than Unforgiven.

That’s not to say Unforgiven is a bad movie.

If you are over 30, yes.
High Plains Drifter, The Good, bad & Ugly, Fist Full of Dollars, Hang em High, Pale Rider
Its not hard if you know who Clint Eastwood is.

For a few dollars more and Pale Rider. HEH? Who the hell knows

This and not telling posters what streaming services they watched a movie on is lazy and annoying.

Fun fact: Joyce Jameson who played the saloon girl “Rose” was also one of the infamous “fun girls” from The Andy Griffith Show”

Assuming my personal favorite Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is not a western (it is not technically but takes place in MT and WY and involves robbing a bank) i would go The Good the Bad and the Ugly, High Plains Drifter...then it gets murky...i could go Fistful of Dollars, Outlaw Josie Wales, or Unforgiven. Pale Rider and For a Few Dollars More in the next tier.

It’s my favorite western period. Unforgiven and The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly are right up there next to it.

Clint came along at the right time and had the perfect acting style to portray the anti-hero that audiences were craving by the late 60s.

Josey Wales is insanely rewatchable. It’s almost like a Tarantino movie that is a bunch of amazing scenes strung together to make an incredible movie. It’s also like two movies in one where one ends when the kid dies and another begins.

P.S. Sandra Locke has an exceptional hiney.
