No Ike Clanton? (Lang apparently really was a drunken mess on set)
No Henry Hooker? (iconic Heston cameo)
No Billy Bob? (back when he was a chubby and still had that thick Arkansas accent)
It's stunning how loaded this cast was and how rich almost every single character is. That's why it's probably the most rewatchables film ever.

I love that Buck Taylor from Gunsmoke has a decent role in this film. The inclusion of him and Harry Carey Jr. and Heston gave this film a ton of gravitas.

I started thinking about this movie and the characters while reading this thread and I guess I will have to watch it again tonight.
So good.

So good.

I just found out recently that Doc is saying Hucklebearer and not Huckleberry.

I regularly use “It’s like I’m (insert activity here) with my brothers kids or something”

also, a shout out to the "very cosmopolitan" Turkey Creek Jack Johnson and Texas Jack Vermillion.

Well shite then. I fell for it because a Huckle Bearer is the handle on a casket.
