Rumors swirling that Netflix's "The Witcher" series has been put on indefinite hold

Or even canceled altogether.

Take this with a grain of salt, as it comes from an entertainment website outside the mainstream. However, a lot of people whom I follow/trust are taking this as gospel so I decided to post it here.

Apparently the strike, combined with the piss poor ratings of the third season, has put the series in jeopardy and there's a strong possibility that Netflix will pull the plug on The Witcher long before Liam Hemsworth can ever take over for Henry Cavill in the titular role.

On July 27, Netflix released the second part of the third season of 'The Witcher', the last one with Henry Cavill in the role of Geralt of Rivia. His replacement was going to be Liam Hemsworth, but this could take an unexpected turn after the last known events. It seems that the TV show has been put on hold despite having a fourth instalment confirmed and it is not clear that production will resume.

Everything has arisen as a result of a publication by Redanian Intelligence, in which they claim that filming of the fourth season was scheduled for this coming September. However, although they point out that this could be due to the strike of screenwriters and actors in Hollywood, the outlet argues that there could be more reasons behind it and that could make the third installment the one that ends 'The Witcher'.

At the moment, there is speculation that filming, if it resumes, may not start until 2024, with no specific date set. However, there are those who predict that the series may never see the light of day with Liam Hemsworth, who would not even have time to step into the shoes of the protagonist.
