Sopranos. A few of the story lines that didn't make sense.

I hate when a show as great as the Sopranos uses unbelievable story lines.
Like AJ being a football star.
A defensive lineman that led the team in sacks and was voted team Captain.
The guy that played AJ is 5' 5" and even when he was a fatso probably didn't even weigh 200 pounds.
Never mind that he was a total pussy constantly crying like a little bitch when he wasn't dominating offensive lineman and collecting sacks.
Also the way that they portrayed Carmella as some sort of babe.
They had Furio & the Construction Guy on the verge of risking their lives to get with a Mob boss's wife because she was just so irresistible, when in reality she is not even remotely attractive.
Ugly face, old & wrinkled, horrible "mom bod".
But Furio almost killed Tony just so he could have this 40ish hag because she was supposed to be so desirable.
Also Tony was paranoid about anyone knowing that he was seeing a psychiatrist, but dated and some chick that he met in her lobby.
In reality Tony would have probably had her whacked so she couldn't blab about it.
And lastly Meadow's meathead boyfriend Jackie Jr. was supposed to be in Pre Med at Rutgers.
Just strange that there weren't writers that spoke up and pointed out how these scenarios really didn't make sense.

Watched last night.
AJ was talking about leading the team in sacks with 5 1/2 sacks.
And hard to believe that Tony or anyone else would believe Jackie Jr was pre med even if Jackie was lying about it.

I remember in an interview with Robert Iler that when the writers realized that at puberty he’d stay as a short guy, they quickly abandoned the football storyline for AJ in Seasons 5 & 6.

I noticed on the marathon tonight when they were all talking to the counselor about his college choices Tony brought up football getting him into college and the guy said yeah that's our ace in the hole
5'6 150 lb AJ makes a couple of tackles and now he's a college DT
