Just finished watching this for the first time in years.
Holy frick it's depressing. The score, the scenery and the story are excellent.
The acting is uh, suspect.

Do you think he survived?

It was a brilliant movie that only needs to be watched once. One time, and yet I have sequences from the movie in the index cards in my mind which I can recall very well.

I love this movie. One of my favorites to watch with some bourbon alone with the dogs

Didn't the end credit scene have airplane sounds flying overhead?

My dog would freak out. She does not like dogs coming up on my tv

Excerpt from Roger Ebert's review of the movie:

I was also stunned with despair. It so happened that there were two movies scheduled that day in the Lake Street Screening Room (where we local critics see many new releases). After "The Grey" was over, I watched the second film for 30 minutes and then got up and walked out of the theater. It was the first time I've ever walked out of a film because of the previous film. The way I was feeling in my gut, it just wouldn't have been fair to the next film.

I felt exactly like that the first time I watched it.
The way Pete dies is one of the most terrifying things I can ever imagine. Just absolutely brutal and heartbreaking.

I think there’s a deleted scene or a post credit scene where it shows the alpha wolf dead after Liam fought it.

Didn't realize it came out so long ago.

He only needs to kill the alpha. But if you watch all the way through the credits they have an after credits scene that insinuates they both died.
